I got involved with computers while stationed in Souza Bay, Crete in the 90’s. I came to work one day to find that my OIC had taken apart 2 computers because he wanted a sound card in his computer but didn’t know what to do. 2 months later I was handed the Windows NT 3.51 server admin book and told that was my new additional duty. I’ve been working in IT for almost 2 years post retirement. I started at the help desk and was recently promoted to administering network security in a hybrid environment.
